Hilfe! Help! If you would like some extra help with German you can always email me or stop in my room during lunch or after school and I'd be more than happy to help you. However, if you're just looking for some additional information or would like to have some tools to use as review, here are some nice online options. Below are some free apps and YouTube videos that you might find helpful. More to come!
Free Apps
Duolingo is an amazing language learning app that I highly recommend you download. I have Rosetta Stone at home and find this to be a much better program, plus it's 100% free! There are several languages available to study including: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Korean, Czech, Russian, Swahili, Ukrainian, Irish Gaelic, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. New languages and improvements are being added all of the time. You can also link your Duolingo account to your friends and challenge them to see who is faster or better than the other. If you don't have a smart phone or tablet, you can study on your computer too. Don't pass this app up, you'll love it!
Tiny Cards is a new app developed by Duolingo. This app connects to the Duolingo app on your phone and uses the vocabulary you learn and turns them into helpful flashcards. Furthermore, there are tons of topics with totally free flashcards for you to use to study. Need to study the US capitals or all the countries of Europe? They already have flashcards ready to go and it's totally free. I really recommend this app for any of your classes, but especially for German. In addition to the vocabulary words from Duolingo, there are new flashcard sets with different words and even some interesting German slang. Check and it and let me know what you think. Viel Spaß!
